Snap provincial election has been called in British Columbia for Saturday, October 24, 2026

Statement by Shirley Wilson:

It is unfortunate that the provincial election has been called for October 24th, as it will overlap with the B.C. municipal election October 17th 2026.

The confusion and voter fatigue could deeply impact the outcomes for both elections.

I remain optimistic that our local municipal election will be top of mind for Abbotsford voters.

My hope is that we stay focused on the local issues and move forward in a way that is best for our residents.
